About
The imposing 1898 statue of Samuel de Champlain, founder of Québec in 1608, towers over the boardwalk next to the Château Frontenac. Fun fact from the City: with no known portrait of Champlain, the sculptor borrowed the face of a French finance official. Outdoors and free to see at any time.
