About
This bronze monument shows a Canadian volunteer soldier with two Korean children and honours the more than 30,000 Canadians who served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953 and as peacekeepers until 1957. It bears the names of 516 Canadians who gave their lives, and an identical monument stands in the UN Memorial Cemetery in Busan, Korea. It is in Confederation Park downtown, steps from the Rideau Canal. Free to visit at any time.
