About
A stone monument on Maple Island marking Canada's response to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, when the country quickly welcomed close to 40,000 Hungarian refugees. It was erected fifty years later, in 2006. It is a peaceful spot along Sussex Drive near the Ottawa River, outdoors and free to visit at any time.
