About

A stone memorial by the Ottawa River honouring the CANLOAN volunteers, 673 Canadian officers loaned to the British Army for the invasion and liberation of Europe in 1944 and 1945. They suffered 465 casualties, and the memorial lists the names of the 128 who died. It stands near Sussex Drive and Stanley Avenue, outdoors and free to visit at any time.
